At such a young age, his talent and huge potential has seemingly caused a scramble for his signature with Liverpool reportedly among his biggest admirers, according to various sources including the Daily Mail.

Odegaard even spent some time training with the Reds in recent weeks, with snapshots of the player at Melwood doing the rounds on social networking site Twitter.

However, his trip to the Anfield outfit was part of a European tour which also included Arsenal, Bayern Munich and the frontrunners for his signature Real Madrid.

The La Liga giants have begun to invest in the very best youth players over the past six months and Odegaard has been labelled by reports from Spanish newspaper Marca as a priority target.

After being spotted in the Vicente Calderon stadium watching Los Blancos in action in their recent 2-0 loss at rivals Atletico Madrid, Odegaard decided to spark rumours further last night by signing the Madrid shirt.

Donning his name on the back, the youngster appeared at ease in writing what could be his first signature as a soon-to-be Santiago Bernabeu favourite.
