Perfect time for Tottenham to swoop for Man United’s Javier Hernandez

The Mexico international is not getting much game time at Real Madrid and doesn’t seem to be part of Louis van Gaal’s plans.

Tottenham’s striker dilemma consists of the over-reliance on Harry Kane, the shockingly low confidence of Roberto Soldado and the questionable attitude of Emmanuel Adebayor.

It is clear that the North London club could use a proven goalscorer to take some of the burden from Kane’s shoulders, with plenty of centre forwards inked with a switch to White Hart Lane in recent months.

One man that Spurs should be looking at Manchester United outcast Javier Hernandez, who has swapped Old Trafford for the Santiago Bernanbeu this season but faces the same old problems.

The Mexico international has found himself on the fringe of things in the Spanish capital, starting only one La Liga game this season and rotting away on Carlo Ancelotti’s bench.

A measly 164 minutes of league action so far this campaign will surely frustrate Hernandez and will have him thinking about a future where he can join a club that he will play more often than not.

The Express recently claimed that United are ready to sell Chicharito whether Radamel Falcao’s move to Old Trafford is made permanent or not and as such now is the perfect time for Spurs to strike.

Although he is on loan until the end of the season at Madrid, Tottenham should make an offer for Hernandez now for him to move to White Hart Lane in the summer.

When playing regularly at United the Mexican has shown that he has all the qualities needed to be a regular Premier League goalscorer, and a partnership with the versatile Kane next term would surely be one that Spurs fans would relish.

With United keen to bolster their squad with new players that will likely cost millions and tens of millions, receiving money in for a player that is seemingly not in their plans before the end of his loan spell would surely entice.
