Radamel Falcao's agent has been speaking about his client's future.
Jorge Mendes told SkySport Italia: "He is a very good player, the Manchester United fans have a fantastic player. I
"He could play in any team, anything could happen. One hundred percent, he will be at one of the best teams in the world, if it's United or not. But time is needed, we'll see what happens."
Falcao was controversially left out of the United squad at the weekend, having started the previous five games, and the Red Devils missed his goalscoring touch as they lost 1-0 at home to Southampton, failing to register a shot on target.
The striker is on loan from AS Monaco for the season, but is commanding high wages and United would have to pay a large fee to acquire him permanently.
This season he has scored game-deciding and equalising goals for United, but too few for his liking, having an injury interrupted campaign and is yet to show the form which saw him previously lauded as one of the world's top strikers.
Mendes' comments are mixed from a United perspective. He is right to state that it is too early to make a decision, but sounds comfortable whatever happens.
As one of football's most powerful agents, arguably the most influential, when Mendes states he will be at one of the top clubs in the world regardless of where it is, he isn't wrong, in fact he will make it happen.
United will just have to hope that if they do pass on the Colombian international, he finds a club abroad, rather than signing for a rival like Chelsea or Manchester City, and goes onto make them regret the decision.
