Liverpool media round-up, Neto latest as midfielder passes medical in Italy

A selection of the latest stories involving Liverpool Football Club in the media this Monday morning.

There are more rumours surrounding Liverpool's pursuit of a new goalkeeper, with the Daily Mirror reporting that the Reds will have to pay £2 million to sign Fiorentina's Norberto Neto this month.

Neto is out of contract in the summer at the Serie A club, but Italian champions Juventus are said to be interested in the 25-year-old.

The Liverpool Echo has reported that midfielder Suso has signed a four-year deal with AC Milan after undergoing a medical at the San Siro.

It was reported last week that his agent has said a deal was signed to take the Spaniard to Italy, who is out of contract at Anfield this summer, and he could not agree to a new deal in the summer.

The Liverpool Echo also has reaction from this weekend's win over Sunderland where signings from the summer in Lazar Markovic and Emre Can starred in the Reds' 1-0 win over the Black Cats.

Markovic got the decisive winning goal as the £20 million winger seems to be finding his feet at Liverpool, while Emre Can showed his versatility and passing range when playing at centre-back, on the wing and in central midfield.

Manager Brendan Rodgers said: “Lazar has been a right winger, a right midfield player and against Sunderland I put him at the top of the midfield box and he did well. Can has been a midfield player who has played in the back three and has also done very well.

“I like footballers and I think they are a great advert for that because they can play wherever they are asked to play.”
