Vedran Corluka wants Premier League return, Leicester City, West Ham United and Aston Villa interested - report

Leicester City players celebrate

Former Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur defender Vedran Corluka is reportedly on the radars of Leicester City, West Ham United and Aston Villa.

Leicester City are interested in signing former Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur defender Vedran Corluka, according to a report.

The 28-year-old is currently on the books of Russian Premier League outfit Lokomotiv Moscow, but he is “keen on a return to the Premier League”, claims The Daily Mail.

It has also been reported that Lokomotiv are willing to let go of the versatile defender if they are offered a transfer fee of £4 million.

Leicester’s Premier League rivals West Ham United and Aston Villa are also reported to hold an interest in the Croatia international, who played in England with City and Tottenham.

Corluka was not exactly one of the best defenders in the Premier League during his time in the English top flight, but he could do the job.

West Ham are reportedly looking for a defender due to the uncertainty over the future of Winston Reid, while Leicester and Villa have defensive problems they need to sort out.

Despite being away from England for two-and-a-half years, Corluka will have the advantage of knowing the Premier League inside out and could prove to be a decent signing in the short-term at least.
