Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil's positive message to fans after injury recovery

The Gunners playmaker has been out of action for three months.

Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil has taken to social media site Facebook in a bid to share his delight at returning from a lengthy spell on the side-lines.

The German international joined the Gunners in the summer of 2013, trading Real Madrid for the North Londoners for a club record transfer fee.

After initial promise, Ozil’s stock fell during 2014 following a number of substandard performances and a succession of injuries which hampered his ability to regain his early season form.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will have been pleased that the 26-year-old had a confidence-boosting summer with the German national team at the World Cup, yet his injury sustained halted his momentum.

In his absence, Chilean international Alexis Sanchez has come to the forefront, scoring a number of goals and almost singlehandedly dragging the Emirates outfit towards a top four spot.

Yet, imagine how much further they could go if and when a fully fit Ozil teams up with the free-scoring Sanchez in an awe-inspiring attack alongside the likes of Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud.

Well, the wait appears to be over as the former Werder Bremen ace declared his return on social networking site Facebook with a positive recovery message to his fans:

“Back after three months: It's about time for a smile! #Great feeling,” he wrote.

Ozil midfielder started just six Premier League matches this season before succumbing to injury, scoring one goal and assisting another.

His ability is evident, and with an extended run in the first-team the Emirates faithful will begin to regain confidence in their quest for a top for spot and possible run to the latter stages of the Champions League.
