Tottenham Hotspur defender Grant Hall has been speaking following his debut for loan club Blackpool.
The 23-year-old spent the first half of the campaign at fellow Championship side Birmingham City, but the centre-back last appearances prior to this weekend had been in a 8-0 defeat for the Blues.
That match against Bournemouth proved to be Hall’s last outing for Birmingham, where he spent the next match on the bench before failing to make the match-day squad on the next nine league outings.
As a result, Hall’s season-long loan was cut short and he returned to Tottenham earlier this month, before heading back out to Blackpool in a bid to get his career back on track.
And things are already looking on the up after Hall came on as a first-half substitute for the Seasiders and helped his new side to a clean-sheet and a 1-0 win against Millwall on Saturday.
It remains to be seen if Hall has a future at Tottenham given his age and the defenders currently at manager Mauricio Pochettino’s disposal, but it is great to see the player back on the field for the first time since that heavy defeat.
And of his manager Lee Clark, Hall said, “We got on well straight away and I think he likes me as a player. Hopefully, I’ll repay that faith in the second half of the season.”
Having spent so much time away from the pitch, Hall has a lot to prove, with Blackpool fans joined by Tottenham supporters in seeing how he does in 2015.
