Bolton Wanderers played out a 1-1 draw with Leeds United at home in the Championship on Saturday.

West Yorkshire outfit Leeds took the lead at the Macron Stadium after just three minutes when Rodolph Austin found the target from the penalty spot.

Andy Lonergan brought down Sam Byram inside the Bolton penalty box, and Austin made no mistake from 12 yards.

Bolton, though, staged a comeback and restored parity in the opening minutes of the second half. Luke Murphy fouled Darren Pratley in the Leeds area, and Eidur Gudjohnsen slotted home the resulting spot kick.

The result has left Bolton 16th in the Championship table with 30 points from 25 matches, seven points above the relegation zone.

Neil Lennon’s Bolton side were expected by many to win the match, but they gave a disappointing performance and left much to be desired.

The Trotters fans were not happy with the display of their players and took to social networking site Twitter after the game to have their say.
