Report: West Brom boss ready to rekindle interest in Callum McManaman

Tony Pulis is said to want the Wigan Athletic winger in his team.

West Brom have a new boss in the form of Tony Pulis. The former Stoke City and Crystal Palace manager has been tasked with turning things around at The Hawthorns.

With that in mind the new boss is looking into the transfer market and it is reported that one of the players he is looking into is a top Championship winner.

Wigan Athletic are already struggling to keep hold of Shaun Maloney, who is being chased by Premier League sides Leicester City. Now they face a battle to keep hold of Callum McManaman.

The 23-year-old was a star for Wigan in the Premier League and was infamously named man-of-the-match as Wigan defeated Manchester City in the in the 2013 FA Cup.

He was recently linked with a move to fellow Championship side Bournemouth but it is now reported by Sky Sports that West Brom are willing to offer Wigan around £5 million for his signature this month.

Of course Pulis attempted to sign the winger whilst manager of Crystal Palace and now views him as a potential option for what he views as one of West Brom's major weak spots, out wide.
