Liverpool see Delph as Gerrard replacement

With Steven Gerrard set to leave Liverpool at the end of his season for a move to MLS with Los Angeles Galaxy, Liverpool must now find a replacement for the former England captain.

According to the Daily Mirror, manager Brendan Rodgers has identified the man that will replace the Reds skipper - Aston Villa's Fabian Delph.

Delph is out of contract at the end of this season, and the report suggests that Liverpool will try to tempt Villa into a sale with a £7.5m bid - hijacking Tottenham's interest in Delph in the process.

Berahino stalling on new West Brom deal in hope of Liverpool move

Another player linked with both Liverpool and Tottenham is West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, who scored the Baggies' winner against Hull City on Saturday.

The 21-year-old has now hit 14 goals in all competitions this season, and has been linked with a £20m move to Anfield or White Hart Lane.

The Daily Mirror suggest that Berahino is now stalling over a new contract at The Hawthorns in a bid to force a move to Liverpool, who are his team of choice.

Arsenal make £3m Reid bid?

Arsenal clearly need to bring in a new centre back this month, with no depth behind Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker.

With West Ham's WInston Reid out of contract at the end of the season, the 26-year-old New Zealand international has been regularly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The Daily Star suggest that Arsene Wenger will now make a £3m bid for Reid, with West Ham boss Sam Allardyce acknowledging that Reid has no future at Upton Park until he signs a new contract.

Swansea and West Ham battle for Modeste

On Thursday, the agent of Hoffenheim striker Anthony Modeste admitted that his client wanted a return to the Premier League despite struggling with Blackburn Rovers in 2012.

The 26-year-old has been prolific in Germany, and is now reportedly attracting interest from Swansea City and West Ham this month, according to the Daily Mail.

Swansea will need a striker with Wilfried Bony in talks with Manchester City, whilst West Ham could look for another striker after the departure of Mauro Zarate.
