The agent of Newcastle star Moussa Sissoko says that he's listening to offers for his client.
French international Sissoko has been one of the shining lights of Newcastle's season, even if his stats don't really support that notion.
Fans will see his two goals and one assist as a sign that the 25-year-old isn't producing enough, but he's been the driving force in the Newcastle midfielders for large spells of the season.
Newcastle allegedly have no intention of selling the former Toulouse star, but his agent says that they are listening to offers for a move.
"Moussa signed for six-and-a-half years at Newcastle. He still has four years left on his contract", Bakari Sanogo said. "We are listening. But he is focused on his club and the league."
"The most important thing is that he produces good performances and has a good year from a sporting perspective. Everything else comes after that," he added.
It's hard to gauge whether Sanogo is really trying to engineer for his client of whether they are just doing what any player-agent combination do in wanting to better themselves.
Newcastle fans will be hoping that he stays, but with interest mounting, a club could well put in an offer that the Magpies just can't refuse.
