A select round-up of the latest news relating to Leeds United…
Leeds United take on Bolton Wanderers this afternoon with Neil Redfearn’s side desperate to climb back up the Championship table.
Leeds’ recent run of form has seen them slip to 20th in the table, with today’s hosts five points and five places above them.
In early team news, the BBC reports that Leeds skipper Jason Pearce could return from a knee injury, although left-back Stephen Warnock remains side-lined with an ankle problem.
Giuseppe Bellusci, Alex Mowatt, Lewis Cook and Sam Byram are all said to be hoping for a return, with Leeds hoping their fine performance against Sunderland last weekend can inspire a much-needed three points in the second tier.
In other news, Byram has been speaking about the confidence at the club in an interview with the Yorkshire Post.
The right-back said, “I don’t think our confidence is affected by the league table. When you are on the pitch, you are 100 per cent concentrated on how you are playing and what you are doing.”
Byram has impressed this season and having missed the FA Cup third round match against the Black Cats, it is time to help his side to a vital three points, provided of course he is recalled.
