Leeds United drew 1-1 with Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, but what did fans make of Charlie Taylor's performance?
With Leeds United's regular left-back Stephen Warnock unavailable due to injury, manager Neil Redfearn opted for Charlie Taylor for the trip to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
The 21-year-old impressed when a much-changed Leeds side took on Sunderland in the third round of the FA Cup last weekend and he was duly rewarded with his first league start of the campaign a week later.
Taylor has had to be patient at Elland Road, with Warnock the undeniable first-choice left-back at the club - and the captain in the absence of skipper Jason Pearce - but his recent performances have suggested he could be about to challenge the veteran defender for a regular starting spot at the club.
Against Bolton, Taylor impressed, with his side ultimately drawing 1-1 despite taking an early lead when Rudy Austin converted from the penalty spot.
Eidur Gudjohnsen levelled things with a spot-kick of his own and that was how the score remained, with Leeds unable to secure a much-needed win to climb up the table.
But despite their ongoing struggles, there are a few reasons to be cheerful for Leeds fans, with some of their young players excelling and Taylor following suit.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Leeds fans thought of the young defender's latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
Charlie Taylor, Sam Byram, Lewis Cook and Rudy Austin all played very well - none of them are Serie B rejects....makes you think. #LUFC— Alex Metcalf (@AlexMetcalfLUFC) January 10, 2015
That tackle by Charlie Taylor is the best I've seen this season #lufc— Jack (@EllandReports) January 10, 2015
