Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has admitted his “disappointment” at his side’s failure to win against Crystal Palace today.
Spurs headed into the Premier League clash at Selhurst Park on a seven-game unbeaten run and were expected by many to emerge victorious.
However, Mauricio Pochettino’s team failed to win or even draw, losing the London derby 2-1 despite taking the lead.
It was Kane who broke the deadlock in the opening minutes of the second half, and he was understandably disappointed with the final result.
However, the England Under-21 international has urged his teammates to forget the result and focus on the FA Cup third-round replay against Burnley on Wednesday.
"@hkane28: We're disappointed but that's football and we have to move on quickly as we've got Burnley on Wednesday."— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) January 10, 2015
This is the first time in 19 games in all competitions that Tottenham have lost a game that Kane has scored in. It was an enviable record, and now it is gone.
So is Tottenham’s recent run of seven matches without defeat. Now the North London outfit will have to go on another good run, starting with the FA Cup tie against Burnley.
