Charlie Austin takes to Twitter ahead of Burnley return

Burnley FC - Turf Moor

The Queens Park Rangers striker used to play for the Clarets.

Charlie Austin has taken to social media ahead of the QPR striker's return to Turf Moor.

The 25-year-old used to ply his trade at Burnley, before making the move to the R's while they were in the Championship.

Both sides have gone head to head since, with both QPR and the Clarets achieving promotion from the second tier last season.

Neither side has experienced a campaign anywhere near as good this term - which is understandable considering the increased demands of the Premier League.

Both QPR and Burnley have, however, enjoyed glimpses of quality and a potential winner of today's six-pointer at Turf Moor could see their season take some real shape.

Austin, meanwhile, took to Twitter yesterday ahead of his return to what he says is a 'great place.'

"Looking forward to going back to Turf Moor, great place and lovely people there," the QPR striker wrote on Sportlobster.

He added: "Going to be a tough place to go but we know what we have to do our away form has not been any good we need to start picking up points on the road."

As the 25-year-old alludes to, Rangers are yet to even pick up a point on the road this term. The R's' home form is keeping them out of the relegation zone, though - but will that still be the case after their trip to Burnley?
