A round up of the best names linked with joining Leeds United this past week.

Leeds United are hampered to a certain extent over the number of players, and type of players, they can attract this month because of the transfer embargo placed on them by the Football League.

Here are some of the best names linked with making moves for Elland Road over the past week.

Luciano Becchio (Rotherham United)

The experienced striker is a club favourite and someone Neil Redfearn says ‘knows how to score goals’ at Championship level. Whether he can have the impact he had in his previous spell at Leeds is doubtful.

Leonardo Pavoletti (Sassuolo)

This is a rumour, which has been ongoing for the last couple of weeks. A loan deal has been mentioned and he would give Redfearn a different option up front, but the latest reports suggest interest from Cagliari.

Sol Bamba (Palermo)

Bamba is a fresh name linked with the club this week. He’s a defender and the aim from Leeds recruiters seems to be to give Redfearn a different option in his back four, which has been a vulnerable area of the team this season.

Granddi N’Goyi (Palermo)

N’Goyi is another fresh name linked with the club and he has been mentioned as part of a double loan deal alongside Bamba. The problem is that midfield isn’t an area where Leeds are short on players at the moment.
