Will any of these five players join Liverpool before February 1?

A round up of the players linked with making moves to Liverpool this week.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been criticised for the signings he made in last summer’s transfer window. However, that hasn’t stopped the Reds being linked with some very good players in the current one.

Here are five of the best names linked with making moves to Liverpool over the past week.

James Milner (Manchester City)

Hailed as the ultimate utility man, Milner has been suggested as a replacement for Steven Gerrard with Rodgers complimentary about the England midfielder.

Miralem Pjanic (AS Roma)

Another player tipped as a replacement for Gerrard although he’s thought to be against a move to the Reds.

Petr Cech (Chelsea)

Liverpool are one of the sides with the profile and resources to tempt Cech into staying in the Premier League, as speculation continues over his Chelsea future.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Barcelona)

The 22-year-old only moved to Barca last summer, but he’s already being linked with an exit and Liverpool are one of the sides apparently interested.

Winston Reid (West Ham United)

A fee of £7 million should be enough to tempt West Ham into a January deal, with Liverpool one of the sides reportedly still interested in signing him.
