De Gea contract

Yesterday saw Manchester United snap up Victor Valdes on a free transfer which immediately saw the links from Real Madrid for current number one David De Gea.

The stopper has been in great form for United this season but his contract expires at the end of the 2016 season.

Manchester United have been trying to tie him down to a new deal for a number of months now but with the arrival of Valdes they now want to tie him down to a new deal to end speculation over his future.

The Daily Mail report that the deal, believed to be worth around £140,000-a-week, is being pushed through by his agent Jorge Mendes who would like his client to have his new deal sorted soon and The Mail say that the deal is moving fast.

Inter want Lucas

Inter Milan are looking to make moves to continue their winter transfer dealings, following deals to bring in Lukas Podolski and Xherdan Shaqiri this week.

Now it is reported that Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva is next on their list.

The Telegraph report that Inter are readying a bid for the player, who has been in and out of the team over the past couple of seasons.

However he has recently earned his place back in the team and it is doubtful he will make a move this winter.

Shock approach for Akpom

Borussia Dortmund are eyeing up a shock deal to sign Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom. The talented teenager has recently earned his place in the Arsenal first-team and the Daily Star say that Jurgen Klopp is personally trying to seal a deal for the player, who he believes would be a massive hit in Germany.

Boca want Gaston

Finally, and Hull City midfielder Gaston Ramirez is being targeted by Boca Juniors. The Uruguayan playmaker has not exactly took the KC Stadium by storm.

The Boca secretary Cesar Martucci told A Todo Boca:

“Arruabarrena has asked us to start negotiations with Hull City for Ramirez because he thinks the player fits perfectly in what he wants for the team.

"We know that Ramirez wants and needs to be near the national team of Uruguay. We know that negotiations will be very hard, but we are going to do all that is possible to have him playing at Boca.”
