Tottenham Hotspur’s Ben Davies wary of Crystal Palace

Ben Davies looks ahead to Saturday’s Premier League clash between Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has admitted that it will not be easy for his side to win against Crystal Palace tomorrow.

Spurs will take on Palace at Selhurst Park in the Premier League and will head into the game as favourites.

The North London outfit are on a seven-game unbeaten run and appear to have turned around the corner.

Tottenham are currently just two points behind fourth-placed Southampton in fifth place and certainly are in the running for a Champions League spot.

Recent form and the quality of players would suggest that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will win the game, but left-back Davies is not getting carried away.

“Their players will be looking to prove a point to their new manager but it’s something we’ve got to deal with and make sure we come away with three points,” Tottenham’s official website quotes the Wales international as saying.

“Selhurst Park can be a difficult place to go and it’s going to be a challenge for us. But at the end of the day it’s another game we’re going into looking to get all three points.”

Palace will be rejuvenated following the appointment of Alan Pardew as the manager, and the players will certainly be looking for a home win and ease their relegation worries.

However, Tottenham should still feel confident. After all, they have the better players and are in better form.

The key to winning for Spurs would be not to concede an early goal. If they do so, then they could be in for an upset.
