Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot is keen on joining Tottenham Hotspur on loan until the end of the season, according to a report.
The 19-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Spurs in the past few days, with some reports initially suggesting that it was a ‘done deal’.
However, there have been some recent suggestions that PSG are holding back the deal and want the youngster to remain part of Laurent Blanc’s squad for the rest of the season.
Rabiot, though, is determined to play for Tottenham, according to Le Parisien, as he reportedly sees it part of his development as a footballer.
The Frenchman does see his long-term future at PSG, but he wants to get more playing and gain Premier League experience, according to the report.
Interestingly, it seems that Tottenham are just as keen on Rabiot as he is on them. Apparently, manager Mauricio Pochettino wanted the youngster to be available for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
What is evident is that both Tottenham and Rabiot understand the benefits of the loan arrangement.
While the North London outfit get a central midfielder who can fill in during absences and injuries, the youngster can get more playing time than he would at PSG.
