The veteran goalkeeper believes his current manager is superior to the Stamford Bridge chief.
One of the key talking points from the Portuguese’s time in the Santiago Bernabeu hotseat was his prolonged dropping of club legend and Spain’s World Cup winner Iker Casillas.
The goalkeeper has since won his number one jersey back under Carlo Ancelotti and has spoken out comparing the two managers.
"Ancelotti is better than Mourinho,” the Los Blancos custodian told Marca.
“With Mourinho I had a love-hate relationship. In his time here I did not speak of him when he was in my locker room, nor do I think that I have to talk now when he is already managing another team and I’m with my team.
“It would be a bit self-seeking and little cowardly on my part".
Casillas continued by stating that he wishes Mourinho the best of luck in West London and that he holds no grudges against the current Chelsea boss.
“[I hope] that things go very well for him. In the time that he was at Real Madrid, he won titles and you have to give him thanks.
"If I cross paths with him tomorrow I am going to extend my hand, then it will be up to him if he shakes it. I think he would shake".
Mourinho’s Chelsea will be one of Madrid’s main rivals in their bid to retain the Champions League crown and it seems like only a matter of time before the Portuguese coach’s current and former teams meet.
Casillas played in Madrid’s recent 2-1 defeat away to Valencia, but Keylor Navas was preferred in the Copa del Rey clash against Atletico in midweek.
