Manchester United finalised a deal for Spanish international goalkeeper Victor Valdes yesterday. The former Barcelona man has been training with United for the past few months.
He was given his debut at Barcelona by Louis van Gaal and the Manchester United boss was more than happy to offer him the club facilities while he continued his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury.
Valdes injured his knee in March 2014, before leaving Barcelona on a free transfer in the summer. A move to Monaco reportedly fell through because of his knee problems but it would appear he has proven to the Machester United medical team that the knee in question is back to its best condition.
He is now said to be in top condition and finally, after weeks of sneak peaks, Manchester United have released a bagload of photos of Victor Valdes in training with the Manchester United first-team.
He was being put through his paces in his red United kit and it looks like his squad number has also been given away. He was wearing the number 32 top in training, which remains free and just so happens to be his age.
He certainly looks up for the task and Manchester United fans will look forward to seeing him in action, as long as it is not at the disadvantage of David De Gea.
