Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has been singing the praises of Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.
In 19 league appearances, the £35 million summer signing from Barcelona has scored 10 goals and created 51 chances, while having a pass accuracy of 76% and a shot accuracy of 67%.
Sanchez has bailed Arsenal on many occasions, and one of them was against Hull City in the third round of the FA Cup at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The former Udinese star provided the assist for the first goal in the first half and himself scored the second eight minutes from time to help the North London outfit register a 2-0 win.
Sanchez’s performance impressed former United midfielder Scholes, who made him his Player of the Week and wrote in The Independent: “The Chilean striker is keeping Arsenal’s season afloat almost single-handedly.”
Many Arsenal fans will agree with Scholes. Without Sanchez, Arsenal would not be challenging for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
