A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Friday evening.

Tottenham Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino has said Harry Kane can handle the pressure of being the side's main man as they challenge for a place in next season's Champions League.

Spurs are within a win of the top four and Kane's recent form has been a big part of that - having scored 15 goals this season in all competitions, and despite only being 21, Pochettino thinks his main front man has what it takes to handle the pressure.

He's quoted in the Daily Mail, saying: "Harry is young and he can handle this moment. Yes, I think he is mature. He is young but mature and the process was the right process to arrive in this moment. I think Harry is clever and he knows how to manage the pressure."

Kane himself has told TalkSport that the side must build on their good form over the Christmas period and kick on in the Premier League.

“We’ve got to build on that if we want to be where we want to be. Every game is tough in the Premier League, and we’ve got be aware of that, perform well and get as many wins as possible.

“There are a lot of teams going for it [the top four] and we’re one of them. I feel like if we put a good run of results together then it can be us.”

Defender Jan Vertonghen has said he is pleased to see Nacer Chadli showing his best form during his second season at the club, describing his display against Chelsea as the best he'd seen the midfielder play.

He told the Tottenham website: "Nacer is a great player. Last season he had some injuries but he's worked hard to come back fully fit.

"His performance against Chelsea was the best I’ve seen from him and I’ve played with him many times. I’m happy he can show the supporters and everyone else what he’s capable of. I’m a big fan."
