Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is delighted to be the darling of the club’s fans.
England Under-21 international Kane has been in brilliant form in recent weeks and is now one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Having initially struggled to convince manager Mauricio Pochettino to play him regularly in the Premier League, the 21-year-old is now the club’s first-choice striker.
Kane has scored seven goals and created 12 chances in 16 league appearances, while having a pass accuracy of 76% and a shot accuracy of 53%.
The youngster developed at Tottenham’s youth academy and is one of the hardest working players in the team, leading the club’s fans to adore him.
The White Hart Lane faithful regularly sing his name during home matches, and Kane is proud to be giving them joy.
“When they sing my name, it is a very special feeling,” he told talkSPORT. “Obviously once I was a fan in that stadium singing someone else’s name.
“It is great for them and obviously great for me. I know what’s it like to be a fan, and hopefully it continues and they sing my name for many years to come.”
Tottenham fans will certainly hope that Kane can continue to score goals regularly for a long time. The striker has been a key player in the rejuvenation of Spurs’ top-four chances in recent weeks.
Kane is a very humble young man who knows that he has a long way to go in his career. Having taken his chances that he worked so hard to get, he will now be looking to progress even more.
Onwards and upwards…
