Younes Kaboul wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur for Besiktas - report

Younes Kaboul has been linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul wants to leave the club and join Besiktas, according to reports in Turkey.

The Spurs captain has fallen down the pecking order and is no longer guaranteed a place in the starting line-up.

In fact, despite being the skipper, Kaboul has featured in just 11 Premier League matches so far this season, in which he has created four chances, won 49% of the duels, and has a pass accuracy of 80%.

There have been reports that Tottenham want to move on the 29-year-old, and it has now been claimed in the Turkish media, as per Eurosport, that the player himself wants to leave.

It is clear that France international Kaboul is not wanted by Tottenham anymore, and the best move for all parties involved is for the defender to move on.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has found his best centre-back pairing in Jan Vertonghen and Federico Fazio, and it does not like that Kaboul will be able to break that partnership anytime soon.
