Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Naughton closes on exit, Kane staying with under-21s

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Kyle Naughton looks set to link up with Swansea City as his Tottenham exit looms.

Naughton would have been behind Kyle Walker, DeAndre Yedlin and Eric Dier in the pecking order had he stayed at Spurs.

The Daily Mail claims the Swans are using part of the cash they will generate from selling Wilfried Bony to Manchester City.

Harry Kane will reportedly put off his senior England debut to play in the under-21 European Championship.

Kane has been a key player in the under-21 side under Gareth Southgate, which made it to the under-21 Euros via a play-off.

Kane’s form for Tottenham this season has seen him heavily tipped for a call up by Roy Hodgson.

Tottenham continue to be linked with a move for Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike.

The player’s agent has hinted that he’s ready to get a deal worked out with Spurs, as soon as the Turkish side commission a deal.

“Tottenham have really only one striker right now so it is not a surprise that they are interested. I personally have not entered talks with Tottenham yet. However, if Fenerbahce give permission we can enter negotiations,” said Erdem Konyar.
