Sony's PlayStation 4 launch delayed in China

Sony says "various factors" have caused the delayed launch.

The Chinese launch of Sony's PlayStation 4 console has been delayed in China just a few days before it was due to go on sale.

Over on Reuters they say that Sony are citing "various factors" being the cause of the delayed launch of the console. Although a Reuters source suggests that the delay is due to "prolonged negitions with Chinese authorities".

The PS4 and PS Vita were due to launch on 11th January priced at 2,899 yuan ($467), and 1,299 yuan ($210) respectively.

A new release date has not been announced by Sony.

Microsoft's Xbox One launch faced a similar delay just a day before its launch in China last September.
