Harry Kane reacted with delight of Twitter after being named in the EA Sports FIFA Team of the Week.
The Tottenham striker's New Years Day brace against Chelsea earned him a spot in the side, a weekly award presented by the video game manufacturers naming the top 11 players in Europe that week.
Kane was one of only two Premier League representatives to feature, with Manchester City's Gael Clichy earning a place. The full team can be seen below.
While Kane is defying his own real life expectations this season with 17 goals in all competitions, he is exceeding his own statistics on FIFA.
With an overall rating of 71, there are a number of players who it could be argued do not deserve on the basis of this season to have a higher assessment of their ability.
Here are five - including two much-maligned Arsenal flop who performed poorly for the Gunners first team before moving on...
Fernando Torres - 81
Jermain Defoe - 80
Nicklas Bendtner - 77
Marouane Chamakh - 75
Jozy Altidore - 74
Kane being valued below both Nicklas Bendtner and Marouane Chamakh illustrates his standing as a reserve striker coming into the season, and the fact even Torres being rated higher than him now seems silly shows how far he has come.
Jermain Defoe meanwhile struggled badly in the first half of last season at Spurs before being moved onto FC Toronto.
By time next year's edition is released, Kane will hope he can pose with a number which reads a little higher than 71.
