The centre-back rates the Fulham striker as the best he's ever played alongside at Elland Road.
McCormack left Leeds United for Fulham this summer after a prolific season at Elland Road, with the 28-year-old finding goals harder to come by this term, despite his all-round contribution at Craven Cottage remaining equally vital.
And Pearce admits the Fulham forward is the best team-mate he's played alongside for genuine talent.
"Best player played with would be Ross McCormack for genuine talent, although I would like to say Darren Anderson, at Bournemouth - he was coming to the end but was a brilliant player," the Leeds defender said of the now Fulham star during a BeanBagSports Q & A.
Pearce, however, was full of praise for some current Leeds stars when asked about young midfielders Alex Mowatt and Lewis Cook.
"For me at the moment, I would say Alex Mowatt [is the most talented member of the squad]. Ithink he has brilliant feet and can score so special goals.
"I think Cooky will go all the way, to be honest. For someone so young, he has everything to play in the Premier League and at international level. For me, all he needs now is experience which he is getting playing at Leeds"
