The Leeds centre-back believes the 19-year-old has a bright future ahead of him and rates Derby's Richard Keogh as the best defender in the Championship.

Leeds United defender Jason Pearce has tipped Italian loanee Dario Del Fabro to become a 'class player.'

The 19-year-old recently featured for Leeds at Sunderland in the FA Cup last weekend, although he has not featured regularly in Neil Redfearn's first team this term.

And when asked who is the better defender out of Liam Cooper and Del Fabro, the Leeds centre-back wrote on BeanBagSports:

"Both very good players, Coops has played more games this season and has done very well but Del Fabro is a young prospect who will turn out to be a class player."

Meanwhile, out of the rest of the country's defenders, Pearce picked Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany as his best in the Premier League - and Derby County man Richard Keogh as the best in the second tier.

"For me, the best centre-back in the Premier League would be Kompany at City, he has everything to be a top class defender. Strong, quick, good on the ball, reads the game. Many more.

"Best in the Championship would be Richard Keogh for me."
