Tottenham latest, Levy wants rid of high earners, striker and midfielder linked

A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Thursday evening.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is keen to offload the higher earners in the squad according to the London Evening Standard, with a few familiar names linked with a move away from the club.

The names in the report that are among the higher earners include Emmanuel Adebayor, Paulinho and Aaron Lennon

Lennon has already reportedly attracted interest from other Premier League clubs, while there have been rumours of Adeabyor possibly heading to the MLS.

The Standard reports that Spurs could be reluctant to offload Paulinho in this transfer window unless it is a permanent move for the midfielder, with Levy hoping for a transfer fee close to the amount that Spurs spent on the Brazilian.

Spurs are targeting Burnley striker Danny Ings according a report in the Lancashire Telegraph. Ings has been linked with a move to several clubs according to the report but has no intention of leaving Turf Moor before the end of the season, but the report suggests Spurs will try and steal a march on the competition by making an approach for him during this window.

The Standard is reporting that Spurs are interested in Legia Warsaw midfielder Ondrej Duda, but the representatives for the 20-year-old Slovakian midfielder are quoted saying that he will not leave the Polish club until the summer.

His spokesman said: “He has so many offers I do not even know. The representatives of AC Milan, Inter, Napoli, Hannover, FC Koeln, Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton, Hull City, Stoke and even a couple of other teams they have contacted me.

“But I repeat that if he leaves the Legia, it will be in the summer at the earliest.”
