Former West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe is reportedly on the radar of Premier League outfit Hull City.
Hull City have started talks with former West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe, according to a report.
Former England international Defoe is currently on the books of MLS outfit Toronto FC, but there are strong suggestions that he could return to the Premier League in the January transfer window.
The 32-year-old recently landed in the UK and is fully fit, with reports emerging that a number of clubs in England are interested in signing him.
Liverpool and Queens Park Rangers both have been mentioned, while Hull are also claimed to be keen on adding the former Portsmouth star to their strikeforce.
However, the problem lies in the wage and transfer fee. Defoe is alleged to want a two-and-a-half-year contract worth £80,000 a week, which would make him the top earner at Hull.
In addition to that, Hull will have to pay Toronto a transfer fee, which is unlikely to be small.
