The Slovakian forward has signed an 18 month deal at Barnsley.
It is a well known fact that Chelsea have seen plenty of young players come and go in recent times. From the big names such as Daniel Sturridge and Fabio Borini to the likes of Jacopo Sala and Slobodan Rajkovic. They have even let one go and paid £21 million to bring him back, in the case of Nemanja Matic.
One other player on this list is Milan Lalkovic.
Chelsea signed the Slovakian from MFK Kosice at the age of 15 back in 2007 and he went on to spend time on loan at Doncaster Rovers, ADO Den Haag, Vitoria de Guimares and, last season, Walsall.
He obviously impressed with his stint at the Bescot Stadium, because in the summer he was snapped up by FK Mlada Boleslav of the Czech Republic.
However things did not pan out for Lalkovic at Boleslav and he negotiated a release from his contract this week.
Now he is back in England. The Slovakia under-21 international signed for League One side Barnsley today on an 18-month deal.
The former Chelsea forward has expressed his joy at being back in England on Twitter and he will now be hoping to catch the eye with The Tykes.
