Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho is back in the headlines on Wednesday, with Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset reporting that Inter Milan are stepping up their interest in the Brazilian.
Paulinho has been linked with a Spurs exit for some time now, having featured sparingly since Mauricio Pochettino took charge of the club.
The 26-year-old has played just seven times in the Premier League this season and a loan move has often been mooted, although a number of clubs have since reportedly ruled themselves out of such a move.
With Tottenham tipped to bring in new midfielders this month, Paulinho could find chances limited further, and now Italian website TMW has picked up on the latest story, which claims sources from Inter have been in discussions with Spurs for some time regarding a possible move.
The report claims Inter have been working on a deal for weeks, although German side Schalke remain another possible option for the Brazilian international.
With PSG’s Adrien Rabiot tipped to arrive on loan, it would be no surprise if Spurs waved goodbye to Paulinho sooner rather than later.
