Tottenham's interest in Palermo's Ezequiel Munoz could threaten Leeds United's chances to loan Sol Bamba.
Leeds United appear to have a great chance of signing Sol Bamba, who has been out of favour since signing with Palermo.
Yet the situation regarding their first choice centre-back Ezequiel Munoz casts a slight shadow over their prospects.
The Argentine's contract runs out at the end of the season and he is attracting considerable interest from clubs which include Tottenham Hotspur.
Munoz fits the bill for Tottenham's requirements, a highly rated 24-year-old who could benefit from having compatriot Mauricio Pochettino as boss.
The defender could be a replacement for Younes Kaboul, who has been linked away in recent days and his expiring contract presents an opportunity for Spurs to swoop on the cheap.
This could however have a negative knock-on effect for Leeds, whose own chances of signing another Bamba from Palermo may be affected.
Munoz has been a key player this season for the Italian club, but an exit would force the Serie A side to reconsider their options, which would include deciding against loaning Bamba.
This is reason for Leeds to push harder to try to secure the Ivorian as soon as possible, before the situation regarding Munoz plays out further to negatively affect them.
