Goldman Sachs, the top merger adviser last year, named Kim Posnett as co-head of its Internet investment-banking team.

Bloomberg News reports that Posnett, 37, will share duties with Nick Giovanni, who has been in the role since 2012, according to an internal memo from Dan Dees, Goldman Sachs’s head of technology, media and telecom banking, and George Lee, co-chairman of the TMT group.

Posnett, who became a Managing Director in 2012, previously served as head of the e-commerce group.

Bloomberg also reports that Eric Bommensath, who oversees Barclays' unit of unwanted assets and businesses, will retire later this year, according to a person briefed on the matter.

Bommensath, who has worked at Barclays for more than 17 years, is expected to be replaced by John Mahon and Harry Harrison, according to the person, who asked not to be identified because the move hadn’t been publicly announced.
