With Nigel Pearson’s side stuck at the foot of the Premier League table, it is clear that something needs to be done during the January transfer window.
Schwarzer believes he will be the first of many new arrivals at the King Power Stadium, with Leicester working hard to bring fresh faces on board.
Pearson was reluctant to overhaul his ranks last summer, with it important to give those who won promotion and opportunity to prove their worth at the highest level.
He has, however, acknowledged that top-flight experience is crucial if he is to oversee a successful surge towards survival.
Schwarzer, who has joined on a free transfer from Chelsea, told Sky Sports: “If you look at the speculation surrounding the club at the moment there seems to be quite a bit of movement.
“One thing I think they are trying to do, and what they have done with me, is bring in experience.
“They are trying to even up the limited experience they have in the players they have and add a few more experienced players.”
Schwarzer brings a wealth of experience to the Leicester squad at the age of 42.
He has made over 500 Premier League appearances during spells at Middlesbrough, Fulham and Chelsea.
Kasper Schmeichel remains first-choice for the Foxes at present, but he will benefit from a battle with a veteran performer for the number one jersey in the East Midlands.
