The Reds are being linked with a move for the Belgian teenager, who has impressed in the Uefa Youth League and recently made his senior debut.
The 18-year-old has been making waves with powerful performances in the Uefa Youth League for the Belgian side, while news sources in the teenager’s homeland have also accredited the Merseysiders with an interest.
The defensive midfielder is one of a host of exciting young talents at Anderlecht currently, with the likes of Dennis Praet and Youri Tielemans also catching the eye of Premier League scouts.
Bastien has been performing well at youth level and scored against Arsenal under-19’s back in November.
Due to his displays at age-grade level, Anderlecht boss Besnik Hasi recently gave the teenager his league debut in the senior side, with Bastien playing the entire second half in the side’s 4-2 defeat against Mouscron back in December.
The midfielder has also represented his country at under-19 level, playing twice in national fixtures in 2014.
Liverpool will be on the lookout for new midfielders following Steven Gerrard’s decision to leave the club at the end of the season, but surely Bastien would be one for the future and slot into the youth or reserve ranks if he does move to Merseyside.
