Forest owners sought player feedback on under-pressure Pearce - report

The Forest squad were asked their thoughts about their manager's performance.

Nottingham Forest's owners went to their playing staff to seek their opinions on under-pressure boss Stuart Pearce, according to the Daily Mail.

Pearce has guided Forest to just two wins in 19 games, with the club sliding down the Championship table since their early-season form.

And Pearce's employers are said to have sought feedback from their players on their manager.

What they said to the owners, the Mail claim, has raised concerns about the 52-year-old coach, who will reportedly be under serious pressure should his side lose again to Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.

Recently, former Chelsea star Dan Petrescu has been linked with replacing Pearce at Nottingham Forest and it seems there will be no shortage of reports about the boss's future in the coming days or weeks.

There is said to be a desire to give the manager time at Nottingham Forest, with a number of coaches having been sacked at the City Ground in recent months.

However, a line must be drawn somewhere and the Forest owners are said to be very much concerned about their club's situation.
