'Everyone expects us to be 15 points clear,' Scepovic blasts Celtic critics

The 24-year-old says the Bhoys simply need time to gel.

Stefan Scepovic has launched a staunch defence of Celtic's season so far after Monday night's 2-0 win at Kilmarnock.

The Bhoys got back to winning ways earlier this week, prompting Scepovic to blast those who expect the SPL champions to be '15 points clear in the league.'

Indeed, the 24-year-old believes Celtic's current squad - and boss Ronny Deila - simply need more time to gel together.

“Everyone expects us to be 15 points clear in the league because we are Celtic," Scepovic is quoted as saying by the Scotsman.

“But a lot of players and the manager came to the club in the summer so we need a little time to get to know each other and every game we are getting better.

"We have not had the luck in some of the games we have played. You seen the chances that we created against Kilmarnock in the first-half but we could not finish them off. It was important that we scored the second goal because that finished the game.”
