Diego Poyet has expressed his disappointment on social media site Twtitter after West Ham United could only draw 1-1 with Everton in the FA Cup last night.
The Hammers had looked to be through to the next round after James Collins headed them into the lead, but Romelu Lukaku's last-gasp equaliser meant that the two sides will meet again to decide who will take their place in the fourth round.
Although a draw at Goodison Park would ordinarily have been considered a good result, the lateness of Everton's goal meant that West Ham left Merseyside questioning what might have been.
Gutted not to have won the game and to concede so late. Happy to have got on, look forward to the replay next week at our place!— Diego Poyet (@diegopoyet7) January 6, 2015
Poyet came off the substitutes' bench in the latter stages of the match, but he was not able to prevent Everton's equaliser despite putting in a decent cameo.
There are question marks over whether the Spanish midfielder will actually be around for the replay next week, as Watford are said to be interested in securing his services.
Poyet remains one of the Hammers' brightest prospects, but Sam Allardyce is keen for him to gain first-team experience.
The eventual winner of the tie will go on to face Doncaster Rovers or Bristol City, where they will be favourites to pick up the victory.
