Darren Anderton has been singing the praises of Tottenham Hotspur duo Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris.
England Under-21 international striker Kane and French goalkeeper Lloris have been arguably the best players for Spurs so far this season.
While the Englishman has scored seven goals and created 12 chances in 16 Premier League appearances, France international Lloris has made an average of 2.6 saves per game in the English top flight.
Anderton, a former Tottenham attacker, has been impressed with the two players.
“Harry Kane has been fantastic,” the 42-year-old told told PremierLeague.com. “He’s come into the team after asking the manager questions…
“He's improved week upon week and has been a real revelation. He's got a bit of everything: he leads the line well; he can be a target man; he works his socks off; he gets in good areas; and he can score goals. Technically, he's a very good player as well.”
On Lloris, Anderton said: “But, defensively, Hugo Lloris has been unbelievable. The points he must have won this year in the first half of the season is unreal.
“He is one of the top goalkeepers in the world. His organisation, he comes for crosses, he's very aware, he reads things and plays like a sweeper at times.”
Anderton claimed Lloris to have been Tottenham’s “star player so far this season”, and not many football followers will disagree.
Former Lyon star Lloris is probably the only world-class player in the Tottenham squad, and he deserved all the praise that he is getting at the moment.
