Chelsea morning news: Cech linked with exit, Remy's message for teammates

A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

Roma have become the latest team linked with a potential move for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.

Cech has been linked with a number of moves away from Stamford Bridge, with Liverpool thought to have been leading the race to sign him.

However, the Mirror claims that the Serie A team have now entered the race for his signature.

Chelsea striker Loic Remy has encouraged his teammates to be ready when Jose Mourinho calls on them.

Chelsea have a big squad of players, but Mourinho has settled into using a set system based around a team which has played for the majority of the season.

“We have to be ready every time we get an opportunity to play. We have to show the manager he can count on us,” said the Frenchman.

Goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has completed his move to Leicester City.

The Australian has been praised by Jose Mourinho but was effectively left with no choice as Thibaut Courtois and Cech are ahead of him in the current pecking order.

“I feel really excited about the challenge. When I first arrived, got a great buzz and feel about Leicester,” he was quoted by the club’s Twitter account.
