Spanish football expert Guillem Balague says that Gareth Bale needs to improve at Real Madrid, but has ruled out any move for the Welshman.
Bale's performances have been heavily scrutinised by Madrid supporters in recent times, with many feeling that he is performing below his best.
It has led to rumours surfacing that Manchester United are readying an offer for the 25-year-old, but Balague thinks that these are wide of the mark.
"Real Madrid insist he is not for sale,” Balague told Sky Sports. “The player and his entourage insist he is happy and he only really just arrived at Madrid.
"He has to improve, the defensive work has to be more efficient, but having to improve doesn’t mean leaving a club.”
Bale's problem is that he is always having to justify his extortionate price tag at the Bernabeu.
Los Blancos paid £77 million to sign him from Tottenham Hotspur back in 2013 and, understandably, there has been huge pressure on him to perform as a result.
Bale seemed to cope perfectly well last season, but he has become the source of Real fans' frustrations this time around.
It would still be wrong to say that he has been poor though, as Bale has notched 13 goals in 27 games during the campaign to date.
