The young stopper is one of many ‘keepers to have been linked with Liverpool, along with the likes of Victor Valdes, Neto and Petr Cech, but if he does move on next summer, the Reds will have competition from the Portuguese giants.
A Bola has picked up on claims from Italy that Benfica have already entered into negotiations for the player with a view to signing him in time for next season.
As for Liverpool, they really need a new stopper now, with Neto currently seeming the most likely option.
