'We can keep it going': Jan Vertonghen wants Tottenham to extend unbeaten run

Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen wasn't too disappointed with a draw against Burnley last night.

Jan Vertonghen believes that Tottenham Hotspur have the ability to continue their good form in the coming weeks.

Spurs are now unbeaten in their last nine fixtures and they are looking like a much improved outfit from the one which started the season.

All is not perfect, though, and their most recent game - a 1-1 draw with Burnley yesterday evening in the FA Cup - suggests that there is still work to be done.

"It’s a shame we couldn’t do it tonight but we stay in the flow," Vertonghen said to the club's official site after the match. "We haven’t lost for a while now and we can keep it going.”

Mauricio Pochettino's side's impressive run of form has seen them climb into contention for a top-four place and if they are able to extend their unbeaten record then they should breach the gap even further.

At the moment Spurs are two points off the Champions League spots, but they have a winnable run of fixtures coming and will be determined to take their chance.

Tottenham take on Crystal Palace, Burnley, Sunderland, Sheffield United and West Bromwich Albion this month and they will go into every game as favourites - meaning they have an excellent chance to build on their current momentum.
