QPR reported to be keen on ex-AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato

Queens Park Rangers have wrapped up a loan deal for West Ham United's Mauro Zarate and are now being linked with ex-AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato.

Harry Redknapp has made no secret of his desire to bring attacking talent into Queens Park Rangers during the January transfer window.

He has also been quick to tell anybody willing to listen that a lack of funds will keep his hands tied when it comes to permanent deals.

Loans are the way forward for QPR, and they have reached an agreement with Premier League rivals West Ham United for Mauro Zarate.

It could be that the Argentine is soon joined at Loftus Road by a fellow South American frontman.

Alexandre Pato has lost his way somewhat since bursting onto the scene at AC Milan, but the Brazil international is – according to Italian news agency TMW – looking for a route back to Europe after struggling for form and fitness at Corinthians.

Redknapp is said to have expressed an interest in the 25-year-old, with tentative transfer talks held.

A deal in west London would appear to suit all parties, with QPR in need of goalscoring assistance for Charlie Austin and Pato looking for a stage to put himself back in the spotlight.

He showed during his early days in Serie A how much of a handful he can be, with his clever movement keeping opponents on their toes.

Accepting a Premier League challenge would prove that he still means business and could see him force his way back into the Brazil squad, with his struggles in recent years seeing him forced to watch last summer’s home World Cup from afar.
