Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly in advanced talks with Newcastle United regarding the transfer of Moussa Sissoko.
According to Eurosport France, the two sides are in what they call “very advanced discussions” for a player who would leave a huge void if he left St James’ Park.
For now there is no confirmation from either club, but the latest report follows hot on the heels of the Sunday People’s claim that PSG were willing to offer Yohan Cabaye back to Newcastle if it meant signing the £20million-rated Magpies star.
Sissoko has made 78 appearances for Newcastle, scoring nine goals and providing 10 assists in that time.
He has also been heavily linked with Premier League rivals Arsenal, but PSG may hold a trump card if they really are willing to part with former Newcastle favourite Cabaye.
This is a story to keep a very close eye on, with Eurosport unlikely to have made their claim unless there was something going on behind the scenes.
