Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino may have plans to sign players in the January transfer window, but he is not giving anything away.
Sky Sports quotes the Argentine as saying on Monday that he “didn’t believe” that the club would sign anyone in the next week.
It seems that Pochettino is keeping his cards close to his chest and is not ready to be drawn into speculation, and understandably so.
But if one were to read into his comments, then it would appear that he does not rule out signing players this month, just that they will not be anyone coming in this week.
A number of players have been linked with a move to Tottenham in the January transfer window, both based in the Premier League and abroad.
If the 42-year-old mentions which players he wants, then their prices are certainly going to go up. Moreover, some deals may be under negotiations at the moment, and it would not be quite fair to mention them in public.
